Yeah, I know he had 37 points that year, but your numbers for the 3 subsequent years was still wrong

You're requoting my second oldest post because you hadn't finished your thought? That's hilarious, cause that post is out of date considering what I said afterwards

2018-2019: 37 points
2019-2020: 45 points (played 69 games)
2020-2021: 18 points* (Covid shortened season, played only 51 games)
2021-2022: 34 points (played 68 games)

You see? Pearson doesn't even need a full season to eclipse 30 points. Your numbers don't match

18/19 27 in 80 26/82
19/20 45 in 69 53/82
20/21 18 in51 29 per 82
21/22 34 in 68 41 per 82as I said earlier

Why did you change the number 37 to 27? What is your agenda here?

In what world? Both are basically bottom pairing d men. Both are RFA. Neither of them have performed very well. Bear was a healthy scratch for a good portion of last season.

No he wasn't. Bear had a fractured ankle. He was never listed as hurt because he played through it On top of that, he's right handed. Instantly more valuable than Dermott.

You're not making any coherent sense to me, even if you think you know what you're saying, you're not making a good enough effort to help me understand what it is you're trying to say

Ok over the last 4 years he has put up
18/19 27 in 80 28/82
19/20 45 in 69 53/82
20/21 18 in51 29 per 82
21/22 34 in 68 41 per 82 a cumulative ave of 37 pts per 82 but wildly inconsistent.28/82 53/82 29/82 41/82. Even at his best though the number are good nothing remarkable. When he's bad he's pretty awful. Not at all interested in paying a 3rd with TBs track record of drafting quality NHL players in the third round Brayden Point, Anthony Cirelli, Alex Killorn just a few off the top of my head.

Pearson has been good ever since he came to Vancouver. His defensive game has been very consistent and never left anything to be desired. Like I said, I blame the previous regime's dysfunction and throwing out a makeshift roster for the offensive fluctuations in his point totals, but Pearson is at worst a poor man's Ondrej Palat

Only once in his career has he had 40/82 in back to back seasons the only thing he's done consistently his entire career is be inconsistent. An comparing him to Palat is ludicrous. He's more on par with Vladdy Namestnikov. Pass.

Yes, but no reason why he can't be characterized as a poor man's Ondrej Palat at the same time

If all his issues are Vancouver's previous regime's fault why in his previous 6 years only once in b2b seasons had he paced 40 per 82 ? It's who he is.

He was clearly still a better fit in Vancouver than with his previous two teams

If it weren't for moving teams that quickly in that one off-season, his numbers would be a lot more consistent, I feel confident in that theory

But it wasn't in LA.b1time he had b2b 40/82 so there isn't much evidence that augments that theory he's had 1year of turmoil as where he's playing in his career

He obviously needed a change of scenery from LA, I'm just saying that if he didn't, he'd have more consistent offensive numbers due to not having to move his family and all the other off-ice logistics that go with moving teams
