Yeah I like this. This seems like the lines and D-pairs I would go for aswell, unless some trade and/or signing takes place ofc.
The only thing I would perhaps change, is to put Connor on the Dubois line instead. Reason beeing I think it would spread out the goal scoring a bit more evenly between the top two lines.

Smart reasoning, I would be fine with that as well!

Probably realistic but playing for bubble, this team pisses me off, they seem to want to strive for competitive and that’s it. Sell the future or trade for the future this in between stuff sucks. Why pay Appleton just to be another copp, without giving him a chance, if harkins isn’t it, rotate through the farm. Moose have to produce something, this team needs 4/5 moose to make jump and contribute instantly enough to restack deck. Make them forget about extensions, there’s kids coming. Back to being pissed off lol

This is an organization that seems to like hanging banners, have retro nights and celebrate the Jets 1.0 years more than it worries about building a competitive lineup for the here and now.

Have heard the home opener is well short of a sellout.

Chipman's recent letter to box seat owners should be concerning even to the most fervent believer in Chevy, Chipman and TNSE.

I'm not surprised the home opener isn't a sellout, as they didn't sell out a single game last year (not even the half-capacity ones). Combine that with the fact the Jets are years removed from their 2018 playoff run; reports (by journalists) of locker room strife making the team less likeable; little improvement in the roster; and it is difficult to get excited for the team at this point. If they get off to a good start, then I could see fans buying individual games and mini-packs as the season goes on. However, boxes owned by corporations are unlikely to change their mind as their hospitality budget has already been re-allocated.

Crazy how many options out there for a shrinking entertainment dollar, goldeyes playoff game was one mediocre crowd or a past preseason game. Haven’t made a ice or moose game lately, but as I get older, starting to enjoy the 20 dollar wheatking ticket over much else. Will be interesting going forward, I’m hoping they start thinking like ottawa or baseball Oakland A’s or Tampa Rays. Tearing it down every so often and let the cards fall where they may and rebuild from there. Love or hate the Winnipeg crowd, but even hawerchuk gets booed out of town in 7 years ish, possibly not a bad window for a build and rebuild, til you get it right. They seemed to have forgotten 1.0 for the longest time and now they seemed to be using it as a crutch for the mediocre squad that they keep running out. I just hope the ownership is in it for a few cycles and not run at the first time of trouble. I’m just hoping there’s a Renaissance with this squad and kids come faster than expected, make for a ton of awful tough decisions coming. Please don’t make it easy or the players playing themselves out of town.

The home opener not being a sellout isn't surprising but after only a decade of owning the team Chipman is already sending out a letter to box seat owners asking them to renew AND asking them to "spread the word" is really concerning.

You're right about there being little to be excited about this team and that's the biggest problem yet management/ownership just don't seem to see that.

I agree that is a bad sign with the boxes. That is a crap ton of money they are missing on just the seats alone, as each box has 16 of the most expensive seats in the building (though there may be smaller boxes). Factor in the money they aren't getting from catering (you aren't going to entertain clients with a box lunch), then that must be very painful.
