Those are all awful for Winnipeg. Why would the Jets sign Horvat to a decent long term contract to downgrade him?

Have you tried to trade Dubois to another team than Montreal?

The Ottawa and Buffalo ones are the only trades that are realistic. There's also very little chance Horvat signs in Winnipeg to be traded to Nashville, UFA's don't just give up there agency like that when its easier to just sign where they want to.

If they're trying to get a likely top-5 pick in the 2023 draft +++ for one year of a walk to free agency Dubois, then it would only serve to highlight how insane an ask that is.

Giving winnipeg a first for a fairly lateral move from Johansen to horvat just to save 1 million in capspace for 2 seasons isnt a worthwhile investment for Nashville.

Wow yet another ridiculous PLD trade to the Habs from a Jets fan!!! I see Windjammer is still dying on the PLD costs more hill as well. Reality is Montreal is not including the 2023 1st in any deal for anyone less than MacKinnon or McDavid (of course more would need to be added). It just makes no sense to give up that pick for anything less.

Well that's an exaggeration to say the least. I doubt the Habs 1rd pick is that untouchable.

Who else would you trade Bedard for? Cause essentially that's what you are doing when you include the Habs 2023 1st in a deal. There is no guarantee that it will end up 1st OVA but that is the way you have to look at it because of the risk.

If Arizona is taking on all of Wheeler's contract, the Jets would have to send a sweetener and expect future considerations in return. His AAV and the indictment of his leadership outweighs the fact that he is still a middle-six forward. The Jets may as well wait until the 2024 TDL and if he is playing well then his cap hit for a few months won't be an impediment to a contender looking for a depth piece with offensive upside.
