so let me get this straight, the leafs trade a 50 point swiss army knife middle 6 player who is great on the PK and scores those points with no power play time at all and a young 2nd pair defender with tons of potential for a 5th?

is there a missed add in there somewhere because that's comedically for the leafs

The Leafs sign Jarnkrok for 4 years, resign Clifford for 2, resign a soon to be 39 year old defenseman for 2 and sign Victor Mete yet they let Sandin twist in the wind. RFA status pretty well ensures a player stays with his present team in this collective agreement but Dubas deserves it if by odd chance someone ponies up for Sandin.

An the dumbest thing **** did was give Jarnkrok a NTC. The reason the leafs are in this situation is he gave half the team a NTC or NMC contract. Your supposed to learn from your mistakes, Dubass obviously doesn't have the right people advising him with these contracts. Everyone in management should be gone if they don't get to the division final at least this year.

My guess is canes will be looking for a decent pick or salary coming back that is waiver exempt. Don't see them taking back Holl or Dermott or anyone like that.
