I don’t think adding Nils means we’re shopping Hakanpaa. It likely means we are going to be more patient with Harley

Fair point but I think Harley is better than Lundkvist, just my opinion

I wasn’t necessarily comparing them. They’re both talented but different types of players. My comment had nothing to do with skill level

Thanks friend. Lol. I think the main thing I like about adding Nils is we aren’t dumping all that “hey we lost Klinger we need you to step it up right now” junk on Harley this year. Should help his development. Tho I do think he needs steady minutes and this complicates thing. We’ll see how it plays out

I have nothing against Dallas. Rooted for them against calgary. Hope it pays out for them,

I’m happy with where things are going. I think they’ve made the right types of moves. Marchie is a nice fit and is the type of player that will help get the young forward prospects into the lineup. Klinger isn’t worth big money any more. Sad truth. Glad we moved on. Nils was an over pay and isn’t a sure thing but if he works out he fixes a number of issues for us. If Nils and Harley work out then we have the young controlled assets on the back end to match the ones we have on the front end. That wait for the dmen we just drafted becomes much more manageable. Might as well dump the 2023 second rounder too. Use it to move Faksa. Give JRob the big contract now. Stash Dobby in the AHL for his final year. Call it a day. Not sure if we’re good enough to do serious damage, but should be nice to see more talent on the ice playing non Bowness hockey

Don't think the trade has any ripple effect for Ottawa, is what it is but that's a steep price for Lundqvist (good value) but he didn't really fit for Ottawa and as mentioned above I don't think this opens any RD's up on the Stars current roster either.

It doesn’t because he was traded to Dallas!
