Personally, I would move Heiskanen to his natural side and play Lundkvist with Lindell, giving the Stars three strong-side pairings.

Heiskanen-Miller
Lindell-Lundkvist
Suter-Hakanpaa

Issue with this is that none of the true RHD in Dallas are capable of playing top pair minutes. Lundkvist has the potential to get to that point, but I don't think I'd start him off there on opening night. The best course of action for Game 1 is to keep Heiskanen on the right side of the top pair (where he is still an extremely strong defenseman) until Lundkvist is able to get accustomed to playing 20+ minutes a night. Things go well there & you move him up with Heiskanen mid-season, and run:

Heiskanen-Lundkvist
Harley-Miller
Lindell-Hakanpaa

The fact that Suter is even on this roster is a constant slap in the face. He's going to singlehandedly force Harley out of Dallas, but I digress...

word is the stars like the idea of Heskinen - Lundqvist pairing
but your premise here is far more logical. we will see how trading camp goes.
