This is for next season. Galy is probably in the KHL in 23-24

depends if he can get 35+ points this year. Unlikely, but Colorado doesn't have the greatest forward depth either.

35+ points at league min is always great. Point productions won't be the biggest issue for him. It's defensive reliability. He won't be a PP guy and I don't remember him ever being a reliabe pk guy.

Edit: Its been 4 years and 6 teams since he's broke 30 points. I won't put too much hope into it.

21 points in 60 games last year though. A 29 points pace on a top 3 worst NHL team could become 35 if he gets decent amount of games and minutes in

He has never posted a postivie +/-. While it is an overrated stat, it's not something to ignore. It's a fine pto if he gets cut. I don't see a liability like A.G getting reps when there's safer picks to fill out the bottom 6.

Stars don't have cap or roster space for Girard. Even if they hadn't traded for Lundkvist they already have too many LHD
