I think keeping JP is the best option...in saying that media seems to think if a 2nd was offered OIlers would take it, let alone another player/prospect plus pick

If they would accept a 2nd don't you think that would've been done already?

not trying to be a jerk, but literally every nhl insider and Edm media said if a 2nd was offered at the draft he would have been traded and they werent offered that so that is why he is still here

That's pretty sad. It tells me how few people can see his value. I mean, just looking at his raw numbers, he scored at a 45 point pace despite having long-COVID and several injuries. And his possession / goal / scoring chance numbers are off the charts, he's not an offense-only guy. All that for just a 2nd and no takers? I simply don't believe it.
