I would go the max 8 years with the Debrincat contract (good AAV btw).

The Kings don't have any other defensive defensemen on the right side since Faber was traded. Right now he's not replaceable. The earliest he'll possibly be available is when his current contract ends in 2024.

Walker, Durzi, Spence, and Grans will all be made available before Roy.

You're at least $1,000,000 short on Alex DeBrincat, His qualifying offer next summer is 1 x $9,000,000 so he's not taking less money for long term than that.
