You'd have to add a significant sweetner and take back some cap for the Canucks to take Ellis

I can't see the Devils trading distant 1sts, few teams do that aren't truly in their window.

And how is Ellis the RHD that VAN needs? Is their need for the LTIR list?

I don’t see you finding any takers for JVR or Ellis. Nobody has cap space. Those that do are looking to get futures for taking in cap

The only way any canuck fan will accept a trade is if it is a slam dunk win for their team. Anything remotely even will be "an easy pass"
