The only way I'd be willing to add a defenseman is if he comes for free (like Kulikov) or if a guy like De Haan isn't signed after PTO.

The team already has four locks on defense; Matheson-Savard-Wideman-Edmundson. Schueneman is the perfect 7th defenseman for this team since there's no risk of "not playing him enough" like there is for younger defensemen, and Laval is crowded on the back-end. This leaves 2 spots for 4 NHL-ready or very close to NHL-ready defensemen in Guhle, Harris, Barron and Xhekaj, with Leskinen being a darkhorse.
