Description
Montreal rebuild plan. This is based around the idea that the Habs young D men continue to develop nicely and that Carey Price doesn't come back.

Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Stranges, Antonio
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Stranges will likely never play in the NHL, but the ceiling is there. Anderson also seems like the type of player the stars would take on willingly.
DAL
  1. Anderson, Josh ($2,000,000 retained)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (MTL)
2.
MTL
  1. Glass, Cody [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Glass continues to bounce around, but I feel like the MTL spotlight would either make or completely break his career. As for Dvorak, the Habs have been trying to dump him for awhile now, and Nashville loves players who don't score alot.
NSH
  1. Dvorak, Christian
  2. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
  3. 2023 4th round pick (MTL)

I don’t think Cody Glass has a lot of value

you're right, but neither does Dvorak and he has a huge contract. Glass at least still has room for improvement and the MTL enviroment would either push him there or break him

i would gladly live with Dvorak's contract then give up all that for Glass, Dvorak had a great second half to his season, does several things extremely well and will be easy to unload at the deadline next season if need be, Thats just a horrible trade all around for MTL. If MTL was looking to "dump" dvorak he would already be gone, Hughes has been fielding calls but has repeatedly said he will not not be paying to move contracts and with Price on LTIR theres no urgency to do so.

Oooof. These trades are terrible from the Habs perspective. Habs won't retain 2M for another 5 years just to move Anderson along with a 3rd for Stranges and a 2nd. The Nashville one is beyond bad. Its nearly downright insulting. Glass is waiver bait! They'd be lucky to get a 4th for him, let alone a 1st and Dvorak.

Sorry but this is looks a lot like someone who doesn't understand player values and contract dynamics very much.

i get player dynamics, but based on these responses i severely overestimated Glass. I though he still had something left in him, but upon further reflection I was wrong.
