Or they may pick up where the last season ended, we need to play the season out.
Regardless, it would be really long offs for them to fall to the 3rd or 4th overall.
It would be really bad luck to have to play their third, fourth, fifth and sixth GK next year (8-15-3 composite record).
Anderson and Tokarski compiled a 27-24-7 record, which could have resulted in a 86 pt season.
With how competitive the Atlantic will be, that may only get them 7th place.

Thing is both DET and OTT have improved a bunch. I don’t think BUF is going to have a shot at playoffs this year but they are certainly on the rise as a team, just don’t see it in the standings this season. Tage has finally hit his potential 👌🏼

My point exactly, 7th in the Atlantic will have them sitting in the bottom 10. Closer to the bottom the better for the bedard chances.

3.5%. for the tenth worse team.
86 pts would have been the 13th worse record, or a 2.00% chance.
Unlikely that the Sabres would win the lottery for Bedard.

Ya I’m pretty sure BUF isn’t getting 86 points this season. 65-75 is realistic. They are better than PHI in the east. The west they will beat ARZ and SEA, maybe SJ. You guys will have a good chance

Adding Comrie, Lyubushkin, Power, Quinn, as well as Samuelsson, Krebs, Tuch and Mittelstadt for a full season, to a team that finished the season 16-9-3 (9-9-2 v playoff teams over that period) and you think they will get 10 fewer points than last year.
We can let the season play out, but let me remind you, all of the pundits predicted they would get about 55 pts last year, they did 20 better than that.
This year's team is significantly better than last year, so they will get more than 75.
86 is not out of the question as you completely underestimate the value of their HC, Granato.
They WILL NOT TAKE A STEP BACKWARD AND FINISH WITH FEWER THAN 75 PTS.

Well I hope for your sake they are better but I’d bet a lot of money they aren’t high in the standings this season. Most teams in the east are better. Could be a tough season for you to watch if you’re expecting playoffs. Good luck
