1 year - 1 mill? Same as Anderson. They can sign him under 1.5m easy and make it work with their cap.

I checked, They can make this work easy. They can actually sign him 3 x 2m easy and make it work.

Helge Grans isn't NHL ready, but Jordan Spence is. I would trade Spence for Sandin if the latter could be signed for $1.5 million or less.

Thanks! And I assume you could get Sandin for under 1.5m. It sounds like he asked for 1 year 1.4m. Leafs ned a big , physical dmen for the right though. Which does not appear to be spence.

Yes, having traded away Brock Faber, we're not likely to move Grans (or Matt Roy, for the same reason). Spence is a good offensive, puck-moving defenseman.

One thing is for certain.... LA is LOADED with high end prospects. It is absolutely nuts!

Looking at their team, they are missing a #1 left D. If they can solve that, their team will be a cup contender for sure. If you get a chychrun type and all their other left D get moved down 1 spot, their team will be scary good.

And one of their current young guys could turn into that #1 left D also. That is definitely an option!

The rumors is he is asking for a multi year deal at ~2.6M, I'm fairly certain he would have been signed if he was fine with 1.5M

Newest rumours were that he is looking for 1 year 1.4m or 3 years around Jake Bean (2.33m). Not sure what he wants on a 2 year. It sounds like the 3x 2.6m rumour from earlier this summer was wrong.

I assume he will end up at 1.15-1.2m x 1 or something on those lines.

I mean the 2.6M "earlier this summer" was like 3 days ago on 32T. Where are you hearing the above numbers?

Position of strengths evaporate quickly. Doughty played 37 games, Walker 6 and Roy 67. Walker and Roy are fa in two years just when Clarke and Grans are ready. Like someone said LA already traded from strength when they traded Faber.

I listened to the podcast just the other day, I don't remember them bringing up bean but fair enough there. I still don't think he is willing to sign at 1.5M or it would have been done already

They also mentioned that he would sign 1.4m x 1 but Leafs weren't willing to do that. They were hopping for 1.4m x 2.

If you looks at comparable. 1 year is closer too 1m (see Anderson and Brannstrom). 2 years is 1.4-1.7m (if you use Durzi for the high end). 3 years goes up quite a bit from there.

Im not looking for comparable, I think he should stop holding out and sign for what the market is because he hasn't earned more than that. They never said anything about him being willing to sign 1.4M x 1 year

I heard that one somewhere else. I think it was on the CJ podcast. I could be wrong though!
