He probably would be, he is a good age for us. We would take the deal, I assume that the Oilers GM doesn't want to pay to move him.

He doesn't put up crazy point totals but he plays hard on the forecheck, pretty physical, good locker room guy

They dont need to do this. McLeod did them a huge favour by signing below his qualifying deal to fit him in the cap. He was willing to sign for literally whatever the number it took to get us the most competitive roster possible this year.

He'll be owed an extra 400-800k on his next deal. Tis was a handshake deal. Janmark literally took his money this season. Kinda weird for a young guy to leave money on the table this early in his career but Oil fans wont complain!
