25.9....it is under the "long-term outlook" tab, where it says "roster statistics"

Thats incorrectly calculated by capfriendly. They didnt account for this AGM being 2 years in the future (eg: still shows Matthews as age 25). Add 2 and the avg age is 27.9

Manson wouldnt waive to go to TO at this previous deadline. Now with a full NTC, chances are hes either on the avs or back to the ducks again.

For the sake of the roster, I get it, its any RHD that fits the Manson type

I think he would only have a 12 team no trade list since this is for the 24-25 season - but youre right the Leafs may still be on it though. Its tough projecting deals this far in the future so yeah just replace him with any defensive RD who can play in the top 4

Avs would probably consider this depending on their cap situation. It could allow them to re-sign Toews in 2024. And by then Manson will probably be playing at close to a 3rd pair level too.

get what you are saying, I dont think he falls off that much to be a 3rd pair type Dman. Still think he can be a 2nd pair his entire contract.
I think its Girard they move to keep Toews. He has the bigger cap hit than Manson, and can net more return as well. Plus it would balance out the RHS LHS.

This is all on the assumption that Manson doesnt start to decline rapidly

Manson will probably already be getting 3rd pair/no.5D minutes this season given how Bednar rotates his Dmen. Makar, Toews, Girard, and Byram will all get more usage. Maybe that will help him stay fresher longer though. We've seen with EJ that decline for big Dmen around age 32 can come somewhat rapidly.
