Zero chance the Jets overpay so drastically for a couple marginal players in the Montreal trade.

The Jets have no incentive to give Schmidt and Stanley away for nothing.

Chicago declines.

That's not how value works. If that was the case, why didn't Carolina or WPG have to attach a 1st to Fox/Trouba to send them to NYR?

Horrible for Seattle to pick up 5.9m in cap, and bad for the Hawks to trade Murphy for THAT. Actually I don't mind the Habs trade so much....if the Jets think Dach is going to a good NHLer.
