Description

Some teams need to make moves after training camp. The jets need to take advantage of that. Also, Severson may be on the block so the jets need to make an offer

I know NJ wants a 1st, but it’s too early for the jets to give up a 1st considering the year they just had. Instead, the jets could give up Brendan Dillon. If chiarot can net a 1st, so can Dillon at the tdl. So if NJ is not in a playoff spot, then they can still get a 1st. Maybe even from the same team in the Panthers. To close the deal, the jets add chisholm, a solid, nhl ready guy who looks like a potential top 4 guy, and a 2nd.

As a result of the move for Severson, Demelo now goes. A team like the leafs probably have interest. However, the leafs have cap issues. Hence the jets add in a 3rd team. Edm needs to shed about 500 K and the jets would love JP. Kerfoot m-ntc probably prevents the jets from getting him.

Trade Dillon for a 1st, then send that to NJ. See how that goes over. Devils don't have a need for him (or Chisholm).

And Severson for a 1st+ would just be a deadline trade.

It would be nice if jersey would take that first deal. That would be great for the Jets

I'm not sure about the other deal. That's a lot of machinations and retaining to go through to only end up with Pool party.

Edmonton declines. They're weakest at RW (as far as forward positions go) they aren't trading their best RW for a LW. Makes no sense for them.

I said at the tdl, not now. The jets probably get a 2nd+ for him right now. Maybe two 2nds depending on where teams are at come tdl

... And the Devils aren't trading Severson before the deadline unless it makes the team better, which picks does not do of course.

Nobody's giving a 1st for Dillon.

Devils don't really want a pick as much as a good player in return.
Our GM has said we have had enough picks and its time to start putting together the roster around Jack and Nico.

If Winnipeg had a young forward (or goalie) to offer, would be easier sell here.
