I think Milano will be signed. Think it's gonna be tough for Eakin to earn a deal

Yep, I'd agree on that. Definitely need another mid-6 scoring winger over another checking forward.

Right now, I have Eakin in the lineup based on coach Sutter's comments this week that he feels fortunate to have "Blake, Mang, Dubs, Cody" in the lineup who can play both wing positions to provide more versatility. Though MIlano's capable of that too, he mentioned that he'll need to take advantage of the try-out opportunity to get the spot.

Hawks aren't trading draft picks for players this season. They're trying to do the literal opposite.

Just an idea, perhaps you're right. Seems like Hawks are still working long-term on upgrading their bottom pairing (replacing Caleb Jones). And may have a gap on 6/7 spot even after adding Johnson for McCabe (spine surgery). Vlasic grabs a spot. Mitchell out for 2 months (wrist). Do Regula and Beaudin project to NHL-calibre?

Regula absolutely does, he looked great. McCabe is only out for 2 to 4 weeks from the start of the season. Vlasic is almost a lock for the roster. Caleb Jones looked pretty good. They also have a ton of prospects on D. Last thing the Hawks need is D
