Well for starters, I don’t see Bertuzzi being traded, and the Canucks don’t need him in the first place. The entire idea doesn’t make sense for either side

Pass giving up a 1st for a ufa winger is a bad idea, I like hronek tho

Detroit don't have a replacement for Hronek and will not trade him without getting a comparable player in return. Bertuzzi will be resigned and only if he refuses to resign will he be traded and then at the trade deadline.

Detroit passes, Both Bertuzzi and Hronek with $2,000,000 retained could easily land us 2 1st round picks. And not picks that are 2 and 4 years away respectively. Tanner Pearson has negative value. And with Yzermans drafting and signing Copp as our 2C we don't need Linus Karlsson we've enough future center depth now.

Nothing, Neither Bertuzzi or Hronek are being traded for what you're proposing. Pearson is a negative value we don't need Karlsson. 1st round picks in 2024 and 2026 aren't going to cut it. It's either your 2023 1st round pick or pass.

Bertuzzi can't play in Canada as he isn't vaxxed and it's a bad idea to trade multiple firsts for a winger when we already have enough wingers

Wrong, As of September 30th the vaxx mandate is being dropped, Therefore Bertuzzi can play in Canada this year.

Detroit declines and it's not even close. Not giving up two impact players (with retention at that) for a cap dump, an average prospect, and a bunch of picks that are YEARS away from materializing.

So Wings coming out not going in to a rebuild trade two regular players, one who has performed very well for two b prospects and future picks that are 2 to 4 years out?

Shake your hea, becuase Wings are not the Canucks minor league affiliate. You can not just give up future assets to a team thinking that will trade and retain salary to make you better. There is nothing in this trade that could make it better. Wings have to RHD that are playing in the NHL and beyond that there is not much impactful in their system right now.

Yzerman in his presser this past week stated he wanted more 2023 picks not more 2024 and 2026 picks.

Now I'm not saying Vancouver should do this and If it was my choice I wouldn't accept this for Detroit. That being said if Detroit was really going to trade Bertuzzi there is no reason to think an extension wouldn't be in place. He is worth significantly more with term and with no bad blood between Bertuzzi and Yzerman.
