Jets don't need to trade Heinola, but you can pick up Kovacevic or Gawanke off of waivers after training camp.

I'm all for trading Heinola but not for a rental.

Have heard Heinola isn't having a very good camp, not looking great in the scrimmage games.

He's waivers exempt so they don't need to rush to make a move.

Its only a 4th so I guess it's fine, I see potential for a bigger trade involving the Jets and Habs, they line up well for a forward for dmen swap, maybe some picks and/or prospects involved too.

Zero chance the Jets trade Heinola for a rental cap dump.

Why can't Montreal fans get it through their heads that their cap dumps don't have positive value? No cap dumps in the entire league have positive value.

Yet, Montreal fans insist on this fantasy that their cap dumps are the only cap dumps in the league with positive value.

Even as a rental Drouin would still be the 6th best ppg forward on your team. I know he is injury proned and mentally unstable but calling him a cap dump make all of your bottom 6 player and many rookie prospects cap dump at best :P

Being injury prone, unstable, entitled and horrendously overpaid for what he brings, even at 50% retained is what makes him a cap dump. I understand that he may be one of Montreal's best players, but to the rest if the league he's a negative value cap dump. He's a waste of a roster spot.

Comparing this production to bottom 6 players that make a fraction of what he does is outright silly.

would be silly to call a cap retained rental a cap dump when you guys need scoring touch while not totally sure to have your rookies ready for the big league. Also we have another Winterpeg fan clearly on my side ready to deal so i'm not that far off the book. You need to calm down the Dubois ripple effect.

Some Winnipeg fans have strange likes and dislikes of players and/or don't like to be confrontational and say what they know is true. And sone just have a different opinion. Either way one fans opinion doesn't outweigh hundreds of fans opinions to the contrary. They're all just opinions.

Every one, that isn't a Montreal fan agrees that Drouin is a cap dump that no one wants. Your offer isn't anywhere close to realistic.

Drouin at any price is a wasted roster spot. He is what he is now.

It's pretty obvious how everyone values Drouin (other than Montreal fans, who refuse to be realistic) . I've yet to see anyone on this site agree to give anything of even minimal value for Drouin.

He's universally regarded as a no value player, so I'm only echoing the majority.

Exactly. No need to rush a decision on him. He needs a legit opportunity. The ability to go out each night without worrying that one mistake will get him healthy scratched or sent to the A. but...Chevy didnt make any room for him either so we'll see

Do both Gawanke and Kovacevic require waivers?
tough to develop both guys to barely give them a shot

Unfortunately they both need waivers, as does Berdin. Kovacevic might clear, but I doubt those Gawanke or Berdin would make it past Seattle in terms of waiver claims (depending on who else is out there of course).
