Neither team would, but especially the Leafs who need Sandin, for Vancouver they have a surplus of wingers and LD, obviously they wouldn't add the pick but even without it doesn't make much sense.

Plus, the Leafs also have an abundance of forwards trying to make the team already.

He’s apparently headed to the AHL meanwhile Sandin could immediately step into the top four on his offside or be a big upgrade on the bottom pair. I don’t really get why Canucks wouldn’t do this

Reporters will say whatever they want. He was one of the best players in our training camp. If you guys can't afford Sandin, what makes you think we can?
