Value wise yes I'd take Dobson over Pinto + 1st any day and I would make that trade right now.
But, in a year, when Thomson and JBD are regular NHLers and Pinto has progressed, I think we might not move him for a top 4 Dman because it won't be a need at that time anymore.

It's not a comparison so much as it is, team fit. If RD becomes a log jam I don't see us adding another RD by giving up Pinto. If anything we would move one of Thomson or JBD for an upgrade.
