The issue it's not just one game he is playing the same way he did last year in the nhl, it's the same reason he got sent down last year, he needs another year to develop, Canucks are interested in Sanhiem, Canucks seem to be in win now, Philly is blowing it up why not trade for a proven top 4 who fits the team better then rathbone, you can have to many small offensive D. Rathbone for Sandin is just confusing for Vancouver. Value wise Sandin is probably higher but why ship out Rathbone for someone that does exactly what he does.

You aren’t getting a first for Sandin when Vancouver could just offer sheet him for a second if they *really* needed to.

I think he had a mistake or two but a lot of the time it felt like he was controlling play. He had one really nice move early on. Honestly very happy with him

I missed the first 10 of the game so I wouldn't have seen that unfortunately, thought he had a few tough mistakes but hopefully will ease out of them as he gets more comfortable

He was over a point per game in the AHL. He is 23 now. It is make or break season. He only played 9 games last year. You are getting ahead of yourself. Bruce Boudreau even commented that Rathbone had a good performance. I think I am going to trust the coach over a pessimistic capfriendly user

If I'm Van and Philly would do that and Sanheim will sign I'd do it without hesitation.

I’m no Canucks fan, but you seem to have a decent set of forwards and a great young goalie. You get some you g D men to play with Hughes and they could easily surprise. I’m not saying it’s wise to trade the ‘23 first, but a Sanheim trade makes sense for both teams. As a Flyer fan I’d be choked if they didn’t get a ‘23 first though…
