This is what it would take for the Leafs to move Sandin. BUT there would need to be top 10 protection on the 1st from Columbuses end. They are in no position to move unprotected firsts.

Personally I would rather get Sandin signed and in the line up. I am very high on him. But if he keeps holding out, I would make this trade. The top 10 protection would need to be in there for Columbus.

kerfoot is worth a good 3rd. thats it, comtois is easily worth a first imo. if anaheim even considers trading him. they just drafted 3 quebec players and hes kinda mentoring them

Columbus doesn't make this trade. Of course Leaf fans would. Sandin was a late first in 2018 who has proven nothing in the NHL outside of being a good bottom pairing defenceman. He is not worth a first and a fourth to a rebuilding team. Toronto has no cap space and he wants top four minutes - he has very little value.

Columbus declines easily, they don’t even have the cap room to sign Sandin nor do they need a LHD.

Sandin proved at 21 years old that he could play good NHL minutes on a top 5 team in the league. He skates well, makes good plays and he is physical. He is 100% worth more than where he is drafted at the moment. Columbus might not be the right home for him though, as they have a lot of defencemen already but a team would pay quite a bit for him, if he were to become available.

Nothing, Dallas overpaid heavily.

Though Lundkvist dominated back to back years in the third best league in the world

so ripping up the third best league is more important than putting up decent numbers at the nhl level? gotcha

Ya, that is to be expected. He's an offensive defenceman on one of the best teams in the league. Edmundson is a shut down defenceman on the worst team in the league.

Joel Edmundson had literally nothing to do with this and last I checked he didn't play for the Stars

This is just an awful ACGM and Sandin isn't even the worst proposal on this. If Sandin was so good he'd of been offer sheeted or traded for. Columbus counters with Topi Niemela for Justin Danforth.

Comtois isn't on the block, Anaheim has no reason to trade him for anything less than a massive overpayment. Kerfoot isn't it.

We decline this trade with extreme prejudice.

sandin scored at a .6 ppg at the ahl level, nils scored at a .4. both have the same age, one has nhl experience and did great for a rookie, the other is a puck moving dmen who wont ever throw a hit, id say sandin is worth more, but then again ur a habs fan. so of course the leafs player is worse

That's like saying: "If Jason Robertson was so good good why hasn't he been offer sheeted yet?"

You have to see the error in the logic you just used.

The trade value in the Columbus deal is fine if there is top 10 protection is what I said, but Columbus might not be the team to do it.

I haven't commented on the rest of this agm either.

Never been a Habs fan - just don't patience for the Leafs because they have fans who think Rasmus Sandin is worth a first round pick + from a rebuilding team who already has too many NHL dman

Because robertson is a 23 year old, big super star. He wants more than Sandin wants and no one (including dallas) can accommodate that with a flat cap. I sure hope Sandin doesn't expect an 8x8. we will have to move Dobby or Faksa to sign robby

that trade is bad, but to say sandin isnt worth a first is foolish or straight ignorance

then why hasn't someone given up a first for him? if he gets moved for a first I will personally come back to this thread and apologize to you for my ignorance but I don't see how toronto has any leverage to demand a first round pick here.

Perhaps because other GMs actually take Chris Drury seriously. Dubas is a joke and has accomplished nothing in his life.

ok so you have no logic, u shouldve of said that before i wouldve stopped debating with u a longggg time ago
