Most of these trades are way too big to try and evaluate, but I'll do my best.

STL Trade -- What the Blues really need is a high end center. They'd want Backstrom from us instead of Ovechkin. They wouldn't want to pay this price either. Fabbri and Schwartz are both key pieces to their team, and Sanford will see some good third line minutes next year for them. Ovechkin isn't worth all those three plus a second rounder.

CAR Trade -- I think Backstrom is as underrated as anybody in the league, but I feel this would be an overpay by the Canes. Two future high end defensemen, a second line center, plus all those draft picks seems like a lot for him.

WIN Trade -- This is so hard to break down that I don't even know where to begin. I'll try and do it based off of positional value. Ehlers has more value than both MOJO and Connolly, so if you're adding in a top 15 winger in the league, the rest of the trade is going to have to be big. I'm sure the Jets are higher on Trouba than they are Carlson, plus Carlson only has one year left on his deal. Adding in Holtby to the trade makes the value close, depending on whether or not Winnipeg is still confident in Hellebuyck being their goalie of the future. If they are, then no deal. If they aren't, I could see this being something they consider but ultimately say no.

NAS Trade -- We paid two seconds for Eller, I doubt we move him for a third. We'll retain salary if need be, but we'd need one of those seconds back.

TOR Trade -- Hyman won't go anywhere, plus Niskanen doesn't really fit their mold IMO. I would assume they want someone on the other side of 30, and cheaper

Ovechkin trade is great but can't see the Backstrom trade taken seriously by the canes

That WPG trade is awful. They're losing 2 of their top 3 scorers (one is only 21) and one of the most promising young RHD's in the league. Holts Jojo and Carlson straight up wouldn't be enough for those 3, nevermind all of he drafr picks you added in.

I have to agree with you on this one. WPG would take a pass on this one. They would not accept this trade in a million years. LOL
