Ottawa won't be playing middle man. They are starting to get back in the race

They have a good amount of cap space for this year - if they don't make a substantial move at the deadline, why not eat salary for 20 games and collect another pick?

it’s possible Sharks don’t like Kemell since they could have picked him but instead traded the pick but I’m pretty sure they accept

MTL doesn't have the room to retain and won't likely try to find a solution in order to make this happen if they don't receive more. Don't see anyone helping with retentions for that low tbh.

It’s beyond ridiculous actually. That being said I might trade Mayfield for Ufko and a 1st…. Nashville had a sneaky good team so they might do it idk.

I really want to take that trade as a sharks fan, but it doesn’t fit their need. They have a ton of wingers and they had a chance to pick him and decided to trade back.

Nash isn't giving you a prospect and a 1st for a bottom 4 career dman. I don't agree with the trade proposed in the ACGM either, but we're not overpaying for him.

He’s a second pair guy, but championship caliber teams overpay for right handed d men… David Savard anyone?
