He's easily been the most noticeable out there tonight! Fast, plays with grit and can shoot the puck. Would be shocked if he didnt get a shot on the 4th line.

Any who this looks accurate, would not surprise me if McLaughlin makes it over Wagner. I agree on your points with Greer

I think there will be a lot of mixing and matching while some of the big guns are out of the lineup. Zacha and Studnicka both getting plenty of time at center and wing etc, but this isn’t bad for what an average night may look like….except for stralman on the top pair. That seems crazy.

Also, don’t think looking solid in some pre-season action is any reason to think Greer, a journeymen about to turn 26, is anything more than that. Don’t think he should break camp with the NHL team. Nosek, Studnicka, Lysell, and Steen at a minimum are all better.

GREER ABSOLUTELY deserves a great shot to make this team. Easily the best player on the ice tonight

It’s pre-season…this happens with every team every year. This is greers 6th pre-season, and he hasn’t stuck yet. Whats different besides having a good game against a lineup full of AHLers.

Studnicka will get more of a chance then Greer, but Greer is already better than Nosek. And if Lysell isn’t nhl ready, then he is behind Greer too. And then lastly Greer should get just as good a shot as Steen, and Greer has been much better so far. So my point is Greer has a good chance to make the lineup

Nosek is an NHL player. Greer has not been that.

Doesn’t matter. Nosek hasn’t been doing it. Just 3 goals last year. The better player should get the spot and that should be Greer

Nosek did his job well last year. If goals are what you care about, he had one more last season than Greer has had in 5 years of NHL opportunities.

What do you think happened to his game this year that’s different from his six year pro career where four organizations decided he was an AHL player?

Greer seems to be an improved player, and even if he hasn’t shown much in the nhl, right now he’s the better option because he brings more energy. There’s no arguing that he has the upper hand right now on Nosek. Nothing more to say

Bahahahha yes there is. If its nosek vs Greer, nosek is 99.9% to win the job.

Settle down bud, it’s pre-season. This doesn’t mean much.
