I think so far, Motte has earned the 3LW role. He’s looked really good with the other 2

Agreed. I also think that based on the games I have seen thus far that JBD is the frontrunner on the third line right side D.

JDB on the third pairing all the way, which is also a sneaky good idea, because Chabot always plays a lot and with different partners during a game so JDB can slide in with Chabot for a couple of shifts per game.

1) Tim Stutzle is 100% a Center going forward

I don't think he's seen a shift outside of C after November 24th 2021. It's becoming "old news"

2) DeBrincat played 100% of his shifts at LW last season. 2nd line will be :

DeBrincat - Stutzle - Giroux (although Batherson and Giroux could swap places at time)

3) Kastelic >>> Gambrell.

Hawryluk will be in the AHL

4) Brannstrom will play LD and Holden RD, over Zaitsev

I still think it would be better to roll Debrinkcat - Stuzle - Batherson with Giroux on the top line, but I can see where Giroux can help balance out the all-around game of the other 2.

Norris has an already pretty good all-around game, Brady as well but his defensive game is still in progress

If DeBrincat-Stutzle-Batherson are together, they will be the TOP line by a comfortable margin, they are the 3 best forwards offensively on the team

Tkachuk-Norris-Giroux would be a deluxe all-around 2nd line

We could also decide to have 2 top lines :

DeBrincat-Stutzle-Giroux
Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
