I know this isn't realistic, Nuge is an Oiler for life but my question to avs fans is is this what a theoretical Girard trade would look like?

edmonton doesnt do that trade, i doubt they even consider, their whole bread and butter is based on their offense and nuge is a big part of it. girard gets u dvorak from the habs tho

I mentioned in the description that edm doesnt do the trade, its more about trying to figure out the kind of player the avs would want in a girard trade

Avs add something like a 3rd or B prospect(Beaucage/Bowers/Maltsev). If Nuge was already on his 2nd team, this would be an easier move. Nuge will stay in edmonton as their 2c.

But dvorak doesn't get you girard from the avs

Nuge is actually our 2LW / 3C, only played 2C during the ploffs as Drai was injured

but yes Nuge is going to retire as an oiler, will be our first player in team history who was a lifetime player

Girard would be a better add for the Oilers than RNH would be for Colorado. Value is close though.
