no thank you, we just hang onto Comtios for another year for him to bounce back playing with Zegras and Terry

Bro what tears of joy Hoglander is clearly better and not only do we get him but we also get a second. Also, I don't think Comtois will play with Z and Terry. Vatrano, McTavish, and Rico all look more likely

And i thought canucks fans were wacky with their, “say no to everything,” attitude.

This is such a slam dunk win for anaheim.

Nils isn't a fit for the Ducks. As a small offensively minded RW he needs to be on a scoring line, and we have Terry and Strome occupying those positions (under the assumption that McTavish takes the 2C position and Strome plays on the wing)

Comtois fills a need on the Ducks that Nils just doesn't, and Comtois isn't on the trading block. He could play on a line with Z and Terry as the puck digger and net-front presence, or he can play middle 6 for us. He has the size and skill that Verbeek likes.

Any assumption that Comtois was on his way out is no longer valid with Verbeek at the helm.

Each side can argue that Comtois, the power forward, is more valuable or has a higher upside than Hoglander, the smurf, or vice versa, but the real reason for the proposed trade is for Vancouver to relieve itself of the Pearson millstone, hence the inclusion of the 2024 second. Since neither is of real value to Anaheim, the Ducks say No, thanks.

Hoglander is LW…just saying. RW is his off side.

Ah, Sports forecaster has him mislabeled then, he is a RW on their site. https://sportsforecaster.com/nhl/p/27959/Nils_Hoglander

At the earliest then, he would be someone to pick up next season once McTavish comes off the wing and moves to center. This season our LW are likely Henrique, McTavish, and Comtois. I wouldn't want to put Nils on a checking line, and until we are ready to put McTavish at C we don't have a spot for him either.

We also very much don't want Pearson or his contract.

Now if only Allvin could make this trade offer to the Bruins.

good cause hoglander > comtios

What factual data do you have that would support this opinion, inasmuch as Comtois has a higher PPG/career and had a higher PPG/last season despite his injury struggles, is bigger, hits more, and is equally fast as Hoglander?
