Meh offer, DAL declines.

I think elite winger coming off a terrific season will cost more than a center with a semi-broken neck.

An unprotected 2023 1st is insanely valuable.

Robertson isn't even signed. Eichel had 5 years left.

There is an example of a deal when the teams trade elite prospect+++ for a PPG winger with a season and a half in the league? Robertson is cool, I don't argue, but I'm not ready to give up an elite prospect + a very valuable 2023 first + anything else that has value for Robertson. It seems to me that elite prospects on your ELC are also a very valuable commodity in the current NHL. The last trades of Debrincat and Fiala cost less than Eichel. Although they scored about the same points as Robertson. Fiala is a bit older, but he knows how to score and score a lot of points.

While true, Dallas doesn't have their own first and move as such will set us back potentially years, meaning the Lundkvist trade is going to seriously hinder us, either in 2023 or 2024.

Also since no one knew how much the surgery/injury would've impacted Eichel's ability to play the term was a non-issue. You could expect Robo to sign at least a five year contract with virtually any team at this stage, as long as the money is sufficient.

Given Dallas was a black hole team offensively with Dick Bowness, I could make an argument that Robo's (or Hintz's) numbers would be added by 20 in a more offensive environment. In terms of statistical impact forums like Evolving Hockey and JFresh very much hold this view - Robo's offensive impact was pretty much the third best in the entire league, only trailing that of McDavid and Matthews.

This added to the fact that he's also very able defensively makes him a player with little to no weaknesses in his game.

If this man was a center, there would be talks of him being of the same value as Aleksander Barkov.

He’s a restricted free agent. And the deal would likely be in place before the trade. The unprotected first isn’t a sure thing. Buffalo will be better this year. Especially if they added JRob
