Description
Leafs need to add some more young defensive depth to the organization. We are finally seeing the depth show up that Dubas as assembled in the forward department (Steeves, Holmberg, Robertson, McMann) all look at providing some nice depth in case of injures to the main roster.

There are ton of options you can play around with the lines, but the combination of ZAR Kampf NAK will be one the best 4th lines the Leafs have had in a long long time. IMO this will become Keefe's most trusted lineup just like last year with Engvall Kampf Mikheyev was.

Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Mahura, Josh
Additional Details:
ANA has 10 defencemen who played at least 18 games in the NHL last year, both Mahura and Anderson will most likely go to waivers. Depth for depth move.
ANA
  1. Anderson, Joey
Additional Details:
I am a big fan of Joey Anderson but he has not done enough to standout in camp to warrant a roster spot over some like (Steeves, Holmberg, Robertson, Malgin) TOR could use some more depth on defense, depth move for depth move.
2.
TOR
  1. Wylie, Wyatte
Additional Details:
It's possible with the likes of Zamula, York, and Attard that Wylie could be made available. A former 5th round pick plays RD is a very good penalty killer and a solid passer, making nice reads to get out of the zone. Can also play both sides of the ice.
PHI
  1. Kerfoot, Alexander
Additional Details:
With Couturier out, Kerfoot could add some nice depth down the middle and IMO would be a nice addition for Torts defensive style he likes to play. And again, if shit hits the fan for this season, they have a nice trade chip for the TDL.

The Ducks only have 5 defensemen under contract to play in San Diego right now. Andersson, Helleson, Joulevi, Strand and White. I don't see any reason to move Mahura for a forward (even though I couldn't care less about Mahura getting traded).

You’re forgetting Moore and Hinds just signed. They have way too many pro D men.

Moore is injured and Hinds can't play in the AHL... same as Zellweger.

Oh yeah I forgot Hinds is junior not NCAA. And didn’t realize Moore was still suffering from his concussion. But I just looked up the training camp roster and there’s Brouillard plus PTOs Beaulieu and Healy. SD will have enough D without Mahura who I think is 50/50 to be claimed on waivers anyways.
