Description
I thought the forward lines would be something like this before preseason.

I don't know what the Wings are going to do without making a trade or putting guys who might be NHL ready on the Griffins.

The forward lines being something like this seems very reasonable to me.
But that makes Veleno a scratch & I'd rather have him in the AHL getting more experience than sitting in the press box during Wings games.

On top of all that I feel like Berggren played so well in the AHL last year he deserves a chance. At least a 9 games.

I've been trying to follow Soderblom as much as I could when he played for Frolunda & he keeps improving.
He's played great so far in preseason & I think Wings management and fans are impressed.

I know injuries happen so someone could slot in that way but what do you think the Red Wings do?
Trade someone?
Send NHL ready guys to the AHL?

At least it's a good problem to have.

Jeremie Biakabutuka looks like a sneaky good find for DET. Just a solid, rugged Dman. 6’3 RD don’t grow on trees, I’d be surprised if DET doesn’t give him an ELC.

Veleno, Berggren and Soderblom all need to be in GR unless they're playing top 9 minutes in Detroit every night. Right now, short of a trade, I just don't see a spot for any of them in the top 9.

I also think Edvinsson starts in GR.

I'd also put Rasmussen in the top 9 and drop Suter to the 4th line if we don't trade him... he's not in our future and Rasmussen has looked very good and deserves it.

Kubalik-Ras-Zadina looked electric that first game against Pitt

But I think we see Berggren and Hanas before Soderblom.

I don't think hanas sees Detroit all year unless we're smoked with injuries.. .think berggren & soderblom are neck & neck right now.. Hanas just numbers game unless he leaps out like few multi goal games..otherwise no dice this yr... More interesting to me is does berggren &/or soderblom make it & take a vets job to start year maybe even forcing a trade

Söderblom is a lot closer than just about anyone thought but his skating still needs some work. After watching Hanas in the prospects tournament and in the red and white game I think he is just behind Berggren.

True but his playmaking & ability to wall the puck from opponents overcomes that in coaches/mgmt eyes.. Hanas yes had nice camp & tourney but THIS TIME (PRESASON MATTERS MORE vs the real pros) in real games & bergreen & soderblom have shined in dif aspects early on much more .. IMO hanas is 3rd on that list he's not had his shine moment yet

I think the only players we see up on are Edvinsson or possibly Johansson I'd rather play one them instead of Oesterle or Hagg
