Description
No Matt knies for you. It makes more sense to me to pursue a lyubushkin type of dmen but apparently leafs are interested in chychrun, so this would be my offer.. If this doesn’t get it done too bad, Matt knies is untouchable

I forgot to mention in my post that Dregs also said that the Coyotes is willing to take back contracts but as long as they get the package they want. With that being said, I would have talks with Muzz and see with where he is at. I also don't want to lose Engvall

Cap doesn’t work unless we trim a lot of depth. Chychrun doesn’t make sense, I’d let another team overpay for him, and muzzin won’t waive

You made a 6-for-1 trade and you’re calling someone else ignorant? That isn’t a thing. Might work in video games but it isn’t a real life concept.

Niemala is the only moderately interesting bit in there. That doesn’t return a top d man on an awesome contract that the coyotes are under no pressure to move.

2 ppg players who had great tournaments, in niemela and hirvonen, a prime 21 year old Robertson who lit up the AHL and who’s ready for a bigger role and minutes. SDA who’s a talented playmaker. Him and Robertson were close friends in the OHL and formed a solid duo, and you add holl who can ease the loss of that dmen a bit, not flashy but still plays top 4 mins with pk every night. They can probably get better offers. But that’s the most leafs should offer imo, and to say none of those pieces are good or interesting just isn’t accurate

They have 42 contracts out of 50. So yea that trade can easily happen if they wanted too

Most of those pieces haven’t even played in the nhl yet. How are they bottom 6? Do you say that about other players who were ppg players at the world juniors ?

I don’t think the leafs should pursue chychrun to begin with as we’d have to dump decent players to add his cap hit and it would hurt the teams depth, I also said this is what I would offer and never mentioned that they would be okay with that return. This trade doesn’t get done because chychrun in Toronto doesn’t make sense to begin with

That’s not the issue. Go ahead and find an instance of such a trade if you can.

The reason these trades don’t happen is its inherently trading a bunch of lesser assets for one good one. That isn’t the way the NHL works.

It’s not a good trade for the Yotes at all. You are heavily overvaluing your prospects

Keep in mind I made this knowing full well chyrchrun doesn’t fit in with the leafs, and this is what I would offer knowing he doesn’t fit in. That being said the value is off, but it doesn’t mean those prospects don’t have value, also I never said this was a good trade for the yotes, this is all I can see the leafs offering tho

You’re right those trades never happen. The same way chychrun will never play for Toronto

No the prospects aren’t no names and they do have value it’s just not enough to warrant Arizona to trade Chychrun

Bingo. Makes no sense for either teams so I really hope dubas stops calling Arizona, looking forward to see that huge blockbuster trade tho, it would be interesting to see how it unfolds

The fact he said Arizona is willing to take back contracts tells me he’s going to Ottawa, they will give up solid prospects and picks and arizona will take on zaistev. It’s a match for both teams. They get quality players, Ottawa gets to dump and get a elite dmen

Heh. In what world was Grabner an asset on the level of Chych? Grabner was an overpaid 3rd liner nearing UFA on a back loaded salary deal.

He said quantity for quality trades never happened, and he proved him wrong in a savage fashion lol, but to be fair he is right, those trades are very very rare.

Well this does not get it done. Sorry.

1st rumors are that they are looking for a 1st round pick a tip prospect and a good cost controlled NHL player. You deal does not have that.

2nd Arizona does not have to trade him unti they get wan them want, because ehe is signed to a contract and their term. They might change their minds as his contract nears.

Lastly, in this deal where is the top prospect? Yes good propsects but nothing blows them away. And adding Hol to make the deal work for you is a non starter no matter what unless you pay to make it work

Come on you ha e tonunderstand that.
