This is one of my favorite ideas: hey, this guy that’s been playing elite hockey for elite coaches his entire life has always played one position….but what if we moved him to a position that he’s never played before, because all those elite coaches were wrong! It’ll be great!

Marner on D is something special.

All the talk about the Leafs needing a "heavy" Dman and then someone inserts Marner in the fray. Actually in Marner's breakout season he played point on the PP as was very good. I don't know why he doesn't play there more often.
