Given his cap hit, Myers likely gets a kulikov deal, his cap hit being gone is of much more value than the need for Anaheim (or similar below floor teams) to get above the cap.

The real salary owed is a nice perk, but its still 6 mil in cap space for a competing team.

That said, otherwise Myers to Anaheim is a good match.

Anaheim will outbid you for Hague though.

I am a VANCOUVER fan ... But 100% no. No need for a waste of 10.25 million. Would rather OEL THAN DOUGHTY

Drew Doughty is still an elite defenseman. OEL is not.

Funny enough at first glance it seems bad for the Kings but both OEL and Doughty are overpaid by about 3 mil per. Both signed till 2027. OEL is two yrs younger though and has the lower cap hit. It actually isn't that bad of a trade. As a Canucks fan I wouldn't do it, and I'm not an OEL fan.

It'd probably be a fairer trade last year but Doughty was really good up until his injury and he's a big part of that locker room. I'd say the Kings pass

The 2022 version of Drew Doughty is better than OEL was in his prime. No world where the kings say yes to this Lmao.

Bold take. It’s the wrong one. But I respect you for saying it.

Doughty led the Kings defense in scoring last year, and he only played in 39 games.
