First OVR pick, 32 points in 33 NCAA games. Elite two way game along with the point production being there. A trade would be with some combo of Krebs, Cozens, Quinn, Oloffson, Peterka, Ostlund, Savoie, Rosen and more. And picks. Not Dahlin, Power or Thompson.

While I agree that the Sabres have virtually no leverage in a Robertson trade, don't use the "people don't want to play in Buffalo" argument. It's tired, outdated, and wrong. People will go to a team if the team is going to be, or is currently good (see Von Miller for the Bills), no matter the city.

The Sabres don't have leverage? It seems to come down to whether or not the stars owner wants to pay him. If they agree to pay him, its all dead in the water. If the stars decide to move him (which would be dumb), they are then subject to whatever the market will pay. So you are looking for a team that can afford a 9-10 million dollar winger- how many of those are there do you suppose, and a team that can pay something. That's where leverage would become a thing. Again, Dallas should keep their player. To think the Sabres are somehow over a barrel is asinine.

I would put Thompson on the table, but I am not as big a fan as most Sabres fans. Dahlin, power, and cozens would be off the table for me.

I love Robertson and believe he will be a star player, still don't think Buffalo would involve Power in a trade for him.

As it stands it's Dallas under pressure to sign him, a team won't pay a ridiculous price for an unsigned player that's asking for a big contract.

I think Robertson has possibly priced himself out of Dallas buy wanting more then the team can or will pay him. Most teams for him is a buyer market because of CAP. I think at best you might get a Eichel trade for him. But I don't think it will be near that.
