You'd still likely have to add Savoie

I mean of there was a team out there that should be giving up elite youth to get a young ppg player it's Buffalo. They need a star forward that's proven and they have a surplus of young assets

If Buffalo really wants Robertson, then Dahlin has to be part of the equation.

If I was Nill, I would target a trade close to a one on one exchange. And the target would have to be young, very high end and NHL proven.

Robertson is a 23 years old (he just turned 23) 40 goals scorer and a most probable 100 points producer in the years to come.

Make no mistake, he is close to be a franchise winger. The only reason some people might not think that is because he does not get enough media attention as he is playing in a doghouse hockey market.

Debrincat went for 2 1sts and a 3rd
Dallas wont get a player close to Dahlin's caliber in return

That’s because Chicago is not at the same place as Dallas. Hawks are in a total rebuilt, not Dallas.

If Dahlin is not part of the deal, then Buffalo should stop dreaming about a player of Robertson’s caliber.

Right? Why suddenly are we over a barrel here. Theres a good young player and a contract dispute, our gm called. As we are one of a few teams with cap space and good young players to trade, it's reasonable, he's doing his job. How did we get to these arm and a leg asks? Wingers don't get the same return as high end centers and high end d.

Short-cutting during rebuilds is never a good idea my team has learned that the hard way so I wouldn’t recommend they do so either

Even with Robinson they barely made it into the playoffs and the majority of their top forwards will be retired in a few years. Dallas isnt in the same place as Chicago, Chicago is ahead of them

I don't think this would be short cutting though. No Power or Dahlin in the deal and they would still be on the right track. They're in the brink of a playoff team just don't have any ppg star forwards on the team or even in the system in my opinion, just a fairly big group of 60-70 point players.

This comment clearly show that you don’t know a lot about the current roster of Dallas and what is in the pipeline.

And it’s Robertson not Robinson.

And, did Buffalo made the playoffs last year and year before with Dahlin? Does this mean he is a bad player?

Didnt call Robertson a bad player. I dont know where you got that from

Phone autocorrected

They have a bunch of guys that dropped to the bottom of or outside of the 1st round, so while they look great in juniors, dont count your chickens before they hatch

So, you mean that Chicago's chicken are in front of our chicken? If not, then Chicago is well behind us.

Reichel is higher than any Dallas prospect, Nazar, Colton Dach is directly comparable to some of dallas's prospects as well, chicagos d and goalie prospects too, i think you're highly underestimating them because they arent all forward prospects
