Probably not, I don't think there's any sense of Holl being in that trade but I don't think Muzzin waives, nor does ARZ accept that, but something like that (Robertson+1st+Muzzin+something else) is what I think Toronto should offer if Muzzin was willing to waive. Same goes for any other contender.

No, the items of value in your trade only gets you 2/3 the way to Church, and you haven't paid for the cap dump of Muzzin and Holl

I dunno why i keep repeating this, but i guess i just gotta
1-Chychrun cannot play the right side. He's awful over there
2-Chychrun is, at best, a mild upgrade over Muzzin if Muzzin is healthy
3-Chychrun has a worse health history than muzzins, he has literally played 60 games twice in his career
4-the leafs simply do not need defence

Yeah, but Arz isn't looking for okay, and Holl probably provides them with no value, a rental like Engvall is probably more interesting, but Robertson isn't going to be their first choice for a prospect, it's going to be Knies, maybe Niemela. From the Leafs side, they are looking to bolster their defensive depth, so giving up 2 NHL defensemen for 1 doesn't make sense especially with their only other RHD injured, and the other injuries to their depth defenseman.

If they can exchange Muzzin for Chychrun, that's not a bad tradeoff when considering points 2 and 3. The cost would be Robertson + a 1st for some cap relief and the potential that Chychrun does grow or manage to stay healthy.

if they could do a direct swap for something minimal? it probably would be worth it. It wouldnt be worht it for Robertson an a 1st. Chychrun really isnt all that special and it still leaves the leafs with a logjam at their deepest position.

It depends entirely on Muzzin.

If they can trade him, yes

If they can’t, no

Chychrun isn't that good on the right side but that doesn't mean he can't improve there. There's also nothing wrong with being deep on the left side considering he's going to be injured. If they can get away without giving up Robertson then that's great but that offer is going to be lackluster already for the Coyotes. My biggest problem with the trade is including Holl since the team has no rhd other than an injured Lilly at the NHL level.

if a guy cant switch defence sides by the time he's 24, then he probably never will And no, there isnt anything wrong with being deep on the left side, it's just that it doesnt do anything much for the leafs at the expense of futures. If you're gonna throw around 1sts and good prospects improve an area you need to improve. like LW

The only point in keeping Robertson is if he can play in that 2LW spot , and maybe he can but there's a couple of other guys competing for that spot atm as well, and you have Knies in the future. Upgrading that position via trade, realistically speaking, is going to have to be for a rental most likely. Perhaps they could move Muzzin+robertson+ a 1st for someone but their defense will be the same at best but most likely weaker.

Why do so many having Muzzin waiving is NTC to such what may the worse franchise in North American professional sport.
Besides the fact that the Leafs really don't need Chychrun.
