dallas is not paying a first and retaining. I think if this were to happen, it would be a 3-4 mil retention, and then small amount of value going back to Dallas. Like Benn at 3.5 mil retained for a 3rd and 5th

The Stars. Benn may not be worth the 9.5 he's earning now but he'd still be close to a positive value asset at 4.75.

Dallas and Benn.

Benn half retained has value, not dumping him with a first while he’s at under 5 million. Also I doubt Benn would move his NMC to anywhere, he’s well where he is now.

Pegula passes. 4.75 for the next 3 years isn't awful. Adams won't wanna block the kids, we already have too many Wingers, and we have Rosen from last year, plus 3 centers from this draft- all waiting for a spot. If last year is any indication, 18 goals and 45 points is fine, but it's still only one later first for a declining vet winger that's gonna block half a dozen kids, several of whom were first round picks. I doubt he'd waive anyway, but buffalo isn't a place to dump wingers or left d.

Plus Poltapov, Kisakov, Bloom, Nadeau, Kozak etc.

Benn half retained has positive value imo Even a broken watch is correct twice a day, This is one of the few times Shibbal is correct.
Yes Benn at half salary has value, just not to the Sabres.
Skinner and Olofsson will score more and Asplund and Girgensons are solid defensive LW.
Adding another first and Hakanpää would be nice, but most likely the Sabres would pass.

Yes because most people think theyre going to dump their trash in Buffalo and dont bother offering anything of substance. They Sabres dont need depth, cap dumps, defensive forwards, washed forwards that block prospects, 3rd and 4th round picks to take on cap. They have the best prospect pool in the league, they could field an entire competitive AHL team made up of only recent draft picks, unless the player is a clear cut elite player, Buffalo doesnt need them
