There’s not an incentive for either team to do this imo. Besides, Laf has more upside imo.

My question is this, why would Winnipeg want to take on Dvorak contract? I know he is a good player but is overpaid for what he is or what he brings to the rink. I guess every Montreal post has him going back for PLD, but if I were the Jets I would not want him and Habs have to trade him to get the cap to take on PLD.

If a 4th line duty guy is paid between 0.9% of the cap and 3% a 3rd liner between 3% and 5% a second liner between 5 and 7% and a first liner 7% of the cap and +++ where do you sit Dvorak if he can play second line duty at 5.4% of the cap ??? Is he overpaid by 0.4% ? .. Don't get me wrong but with this news, your idea of the cap seem ludicrous to me. His contract is pretty fine to anyone out there ... you just need to calm down with the money!

I like this breakdown, even if he is overpaid by the .4% he is working out with that line so why move him now, let him put up a 60+ point season, get PLD in FA and then get a 1st for Dvorak later if not keep him. Doesn’t make sense to move him and the other pieces. PLD isn’t putting up 120 points

He has got to produce way more. Has never hit 20 goals or 40 points

Pretty much no chance Winnipeg does that. At that point Dvorak only has a year left, so he's not worth that much and the remainder of the deal is at the low end of Dubois' rental price.

Pass and goals are 2 variables. Faceoff, pking, playmaking, puck control, hits, war, toi, play against who, etc. Most of the time he starts in d-zone winning the draw and he is not playing with top offensive players. Playing in the 2 worsts team of the league in the last 4 years didn't help at all.

One freaking Word for all of you guys : PERSPECTIVE.... This is why cap or scoring sheet are so overated sometime . What if the player always has the 3rd pass or press a block on the play to open the ice for another player.

Look the game not the scoreboard. Everything is valuable in this game. The guy is not a flop nor a dump, he plays well but got many distraction and even played injured ... So step back a moment and understand that even is contract might have been boosted for cap floor reason ... So is it that overpaid or underperforming ... I'm not that sure.

We'll see this year if he pops up the scoresheet and if so, well he would be qualifying for his cap ... Give some time and space.

You don't realise how much pressure money and pts have where the game have sooooo many other variables even more important!
