We just acquired Dermott for a 3rd now move him for a 5th? We acquire one of the worst RHDs in the NHL with a horrible contract for 2 seasons and play him 1st pair?

That is completely useless for Ottawa

It defeats entirely the purpose of trading Zaitsev.

It actually makes it worse. Watson contract expires after this season and he's totally welcome this season as the team wants his veteran presence

Putting Zaitsev with Hughes would be enough for Demko to request a trade
