Right here you've proven you know nothing about the Devils' situation. They decline this trade.

Solid analysis. Very detailed. You should be in sports media.

No they don't. But including him and Dermott help balance the cap for this season. I'd be happy to leave the both of them out of the deal.

1. Nemec will not and should not make the team
2. Boeser would not be in the top 6
3. Bernier is not a safe bet to LTIR, you'd have to ensure there's cap space for him to come back
4. Graves should not be top pair
5. Bahl, Walsh, or Okhotiuk should be on the roster

Go ahead and make up a Canucks lineup. See how reasonable that is

It would suck. Which is exactly my point.

Saying Boeser wouldn’t be in the top 6 is laughable. The only winger that’s better than him is Bratt. Holtz has the potential to be but isn’t yet

Palat Hughes Holtz
Bratt Hischier Mercer
Boeser Haula Sharangovich
Tatar whatever whatever

It doesn't matter, Severson for a winger died the day Palat was signed

Boeser would play 1st line RW. Maybe 2nd line depending on how Holtz plays

I think Severson for Boeser makes some sense. Boeser already extend, Severson to be extended…will probably be similar cap hits.

I’d probably do…

Sharangovich - Hughes - Boeser
Holtz - Hischier - Bratt
Palat - Haula - Mercer
Wood - McLeod - Bastian

Boeser would really help on PP where we need some good hands who can play in close to net. Been years since we had that type of guy.

Other than putting Bratt at LW, I don’t see anything unusual about that lineup.

They're overrating Boeser and when Bernier comes off LTIR we're F'ed

Boeser has one down season while playing through everything surrounding his father and people forget how good he is. The only winger on NJ that you can confidently say is better than him currently is Bratt. He’s better than Palat and Sharangovich, and currently better than Holtz until he proves himself at the NHL level
