He just got cut from camp... and apparently he's pissed!

Doesn't matter. He is a top prospect and getting not much of interest.

Why would his being "pissed" have any affect on Calgary trading him ?
Treliving tells him to basically suck it up and deal with it like an adult.

He was a point a game in the AHL... Big failure for him not to make the team...

So who cares.......Just think acquiescing to a guy whose feelings are a little hurt is bad precedent

So from time to time this happens that a 21/22 year old is a point per game in the AHL but cannot make it work in the NHL. It sucks but it happens. It makes no sense that he did not make the team unless the Flames have given up on him. Sometimes 5' 9" prospects don't make it.

All I'm saying is that IF Calgary has given up on Pelletier, the Habs will definitely give him a chance.

I didn't notice him. Plus I'd rather him be 1st line in the AHL then 3rd in the NHL

If he were capable of playing 3rd line according to the coach, he would be with the team now. It's weird that he was sent down. What does he have to do better to get a shot with the Flames?

Play well in preseason. I honestly didn't notice him at all. Probably will be 1st call up in case of injury

He isn’t making the Habs anyway
So he wouldn’t play in MTL here
We already have too many wingers
Right now, one of Monahan Drouin Armia Hoffman Pitlick will start as an healthy scratch

I'm saying... That's weird for a top prospect. With respect to the player and the team, everyone was sure he was playing on this team and was half a season away from power play time and top 6 minutes... Major let down...

Major let down. Flames need the new blood and he was a lock to make the Flames. He can't not make this team at 21 and still be considered the top prospect, right?

Ylonen is 22 and he's NHL-ready for a bottom 6 role. Kidney was an alternate on Team Canada in his draft +1 season and will be an important part of Team Canada in his draft +2 season. He also had 100 points in the QMJHL in his draft +1 season and should realistically hit 120-150 this draft +2 season. That's hardly "not much"

For context Pelletier had 82 points in his draft +1 season in the QMJHL.

This whole thread is hilariously you just talking out your ass. Who said he’s pissed? He doesn’t need to clear waivers, it’s an easy send down, Flames will give longer looks to guys that that is they cut or lose on waivers will be out of the organization. This is literally common place ever since waivers has been a thing. The Habs fans need to seriously lose their boner for Pelletier, he wasn’t included in a big deal last season, he’s not getting moved for scraps that the most bias fan base doesn’t even want. All around horrible post and comments.

Pelletier didn't have a good camp. Therefore he didn't make the team.

I really don't care about arbitrary rankings.

He will be called up this season, that time just isn't right now

Major let down ? He never was a lock to make the Flames, no prospect are. 21 yo and not being a regular NHLer isn’t anything bad in any ways. He is still a top prospect for CGY, they don’t need to trade him … CGY still have a decent top 9 with Hubby Lindholm Mangiapane Toffoli Kadri Coleman Dube Backlund and whoever plays the best out of camp : Ruzicka or Milano. Like other Flames fans said, if he wasn’t good, why should he start the year with them ? Especially when he’s waivers exempt
