This shows that they couldn’t, 0 cap space to even make 1 call up due up injury is not smart cap mgmt. plus kuempers contract makes it nearly impossible to pay byram and Newhook without forcing yo trade girard

They made the choice to keep Manson over kuemper cap wise and I think they made the right choice

I think the issue with Kuemper was always term, COL didn’t want to give him 5 years with his age and injury history and let’s be honest COL wins the Cup last year with Francouz. Throw in as @coga16 stated that Manson took the deal COL offered and Kuemper didn’t and it was easy to move on.

I’m glad they don’t resign Kuemper. He was really bad.

They probably wouldn't have either way. I know Tampa made it look easy by doing it but also making the finals 3 straight years but it's not that easy.

There was nothing easy about it for TB. Without Vasilevskiy being almost God-like in net they don't sniff a back to back.

avs fans have heard this for years about their goaltending, yet they swept the west finals with their back up and beat the back to back defending champs with a goalie with 1 good eye.
Avs are that good that all they need is league average goaltending to make some noise.

Might be time for this narrative to end,

So let me see if I understand what you are saying? They pull a pretty amazing feat doing so. So their goaltending gets worse and they're going to do something only done twice this century? Glwt

Kadri kisses half the series and played the last 3 games with a broken thumb.
    Cogliano had a broken hand.
Burakovsky missed a lot of the final because of injury (can't recall what it was).
    Etc etc

    Both teams had injuries.

Nuke was playing with 1 good foot at the end of the series as well.
    Girard was already out.

like you said avs had their own major injuries to over come

I dont have to tell myself anything, I have no issues with the goaltending. I am not going to sit here and pretend that I know better than the Avs pro scouting staff and goalie coach in Jussi Parkkila who have had every goalie that has come into their fold has improved statically in Colorado. I would assume they know what they are doing.

You are the one with the issues here and basically throwing a fit bc you dont like the fact that poor goaltending beat your team

No I have no issues they lost congrats. History and common sense says it's extremely unlikely they repeat especially with worse goaltending. Good luck with the guy whose teammates say make a f***ING save once in a while before fighting him.

you are just proving how mad you are with these type of comments. Double down by trying to imply tony deangelo was in the right is just the cherry on top proving how mad you are. Siding with tony deangelo is never a good way to prove a point
