Isles wouldn’t take Poolman for less than a first. Ferland is an LTIR contract. Not sure what the logic is here, besides not liking the isles.

Not a first plus to get Klingberg alone, but if ur taking Myers it’s a first plus

Klingberg at the deadline 50% retained fetches a 1st plus imo -- thats one of the reasons why we signed him

Detroit passes, Sorry Horvat isn't worth 2 equivalent 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick. Kasper isn't going anywhere.

I can’t imagine he’s worth a first rn — if someone was willing to do that then why wouldn’t they sign him for free?

Because they can't afford Klingberg at 7 mil, but they can at 3.5 mil, and if he can maintain his form, someone will want to pick him up.

I like Klingberg, but I can’t see a world where I’d give up a first for him. That’s just me tho.

Yeah, I don't think he is a 1st plus. Maybe we can get a 2024 1st but I doubt we'd get a 23 for him.

Maybe if it was at the end of the the 1st round but I don't see anyone giving up a lottery pick for a 30yr old dman. But no contender will have the cap to resign him. It will be interesting to see what happens.

If they wait until the TDL the retention is around $1M.

Take out Kasper and the second and if an extension is on place then fine on the Detroit trade.

Steve Yzerman laughing his ass off as he slams down the phone

Kasper has incredible potential to be a stud. There is absolutely no chance Detroit throws in an additional 1st round pick, or even a 2nd, for a 1B/2A forward who's in-prime now. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever

Bo Horvats best season is 61 points, He's not even as good as Larkin. And i would even give up Kasper a 1st and 2nd for Larkin if i were trading for him. Kasper is going to be a stud. he might be as good if not even better than Larkin down the road.

Welcome to Capfriendly. As you can see some people can be fairly harsh on here sometimes. Best thing to do is to be non-biased towards your team(s). Have an open mind to what people are thinking. That being said as Horvat only has 1 year on his deal, he is a rental so...
1. Red Wings won't want him unless they look really good this year.
2. Red Wings probably won't want to extend him since we already have Copp in the 2C spot and a plethora of young Cs to take the 3C and 4C spots.
3. This is too much for him. You will probably get max a 1st and maybe a B+ prospect out of him.

I really like Bo and would love to have him on the Red Wings, but it just doesn't make sense.
