I'm so shocked Zohorna was placed on Waivers. I can't imagine he clears.

I know I'm being a homer right now, but I truly believe that if the big guys stay relatively healthy, i.e. Sid, Geno, Letang, Jarry, Rust and Jake, that this team can challenge any team in the league.

I am too, but you got too many guys that will beat him out for sure. Only guy I would swap with him is Archibald

Actually just seem Zohorna still is on the team. Only guys for Pitt on waivers are Nylander, Tokarski, Ouellet, and Cagguila

What I just learned as that teams aren't really doing waiver claims right now because they're still dealing with figuring out their own rosters, so good players are passing through.

No, he was put on waivers. He just wasn't cut.

Poulin has only played one preseason game. He's on leave for a personal issue of some sort. I'm not going to say that means he'll get cut, but I'm not as optimistic on his chances of making it.
Also, with Caggiula's play in the preseason, I'm surprised he was cut. I'd rather have him on the NHL roster than Archibald.

I agree that he didn’t get sent down because of the personal issue but management did seem very impressed with him before he left

Absolutely agreed. The fact he won't have to play top minutes, the Pens will be able to get so much more out of him and Geno will finally have a regular dman like him to help generate offense.

Most importantly he won't have a CHL-caliber coach

Especially if Zucker who has a contract year this year (so hell either play the same or out of his mind) and rakell step up, Heinen contiunes his form, easy round 2 at least

I'm expecting a bounce back year from Zucker if he stays healthy.

As much as I like Zohorna, I don't think there is going to be big demand(no pun intended) for a 26 year old who hasn't cracked an NHL roster yet as a starter. I think he'll stay. Which is obviously a good thing

EDIT: WELL BOY WAS I WRONG LOL. I will see myself out
