First off it would never work cap wise even if u took Zaitsev.

isn't what I just said? I don't know it feels like people don't even read anymore

But hold on, it only doesn't work because of 2023-24

2022-23 : works as the Sens have 5.7 in cap space
2023-24 : doesn't work if Sens want to keep Zub and DeBrincat
2024-25 : works again as the cap goes up and pretty much all the core is signed. Bridge guys out of their ELCs. Giroux's contract expires, etc.

“ Yeah but I'd easily pay a 2nd and a 4th to get rid of Zaitsev and Gambrell (never understood why Dorion extended him, made no sense back then, makes even less sense now)

I'd take Erik Karlsson at 6.9 AAV for future considerations easily”

This is what u originally said

No reason for Ottawa to want Karlsson bro…. Don’t try and live in the past

I continued and came back on this in post #24. Mentioned it wouldn't work specifically for 2023-24, unless the cap goes up for more than a million?

I am not. I am ok with not getting him. I am not the OP.

I wouldn't be against the idea though, if Zaitsev is going the other way and we make it work for the cap but seriously, we'll have more young quality players to extend so it's better to not take him back.

Doesn’t work period cap wise. And you repeatedly kept saying you would take him for free. At least own up to what you said.

But I did... and twice lol

Please read the conversation again and let me know if you still don't see it. I gotta go to the airport then the Bell Centre

Edit : and again, it would work every year except next season. Do you understand that point?

You say "Don’t try and live in the past", I am telling you it is not my proposal.

It's not because I am not trashing the OP's idea that I am "living in the past" lol

I WOULD LIKE Karlsson as a RHD IF it was feasible in terms of the cap but considering the Sens situation, we should keep all the money possible for the players already inside the organization

That should be clear.
