Doubt CHI gives up assets. You need to give them a pick to take Pearson or Dermott and Pearson straight up.

Doubt CBJ moves on from Boqvist either

Ottawa's got no business moving a 1st for Garland. He's a 3rd liner in Ottawa. They can't afford the contract and they definitely shouldn't continue adding forwards whether blueline is in this state

Jackets decline. Also, that offer for Hague is easily beaten by other teams with more cap space such as Anaheim

He’d have let their team in even strength scoring by 6 points. (Even if you include Giroux and DeBrincat)

Offensive LHDs are near the top of the list of Things The Jackets Really Don't Need More Of.

That doesn't change anything. Who do you think he would play over?

    Alex DeBrincat?
    Brady Tkachuk?
    Drake Batherson?
    Claude Giroux?

Any of them. It would suck for any of them to be on the third line but he produces more then any of them (on 5v5)

Even if he plays third line minutes, there is a good chance he is one of the best 5v5 producers on the team

Do you realize that the Sens just traded Connor Brown for a 2nd round pick in 2024 because they don't have a spot and cap space available for him going forward?

Garland at ES last 3 seasons : 107 pts in 194 games (0.55 PPG)
Brown at ES last 3 seasons : 89 pts in 191 games (0.47 PPG)

Brown produces a bit less at ES but had 11 pts SH during that period of time, which was the 4th highest in the league. It's pretty close if you add his SH to his ES pts.

They also traded Nick Paul for Joseph and a pick because they couldn't meet his salary and terms demands

I sincerely don't know what to tell you so I'll just pass I guess.
